Geothermal energy development creates value at the intersection of nature, technology, and economics. Join Bill Heins (W/C’84) on a subterranean tour of the globe to investigate how uneven distribution of resource endowment influences technology choices and investment decisions as we attempt to capture the clean, always-on heat beneath our feet to meet energy demand.
Bill Heins is Chief Geoscientist at Getech, helping clients locate resources and deliver energy to the world. He has a BSEcon in Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School, a BA in Geology from the College at the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in Geology from the University of California at Los Angeles. Over the last 40 years, Bill has advised Fortune 500 technology companies on business strategy with the Strategic Management Group, taught geology at two small liberal arts colleges in the US, and explored for natural resources on 6 continents with ExxonMobil and Getech.
